We fell in love with the area before we ever laid eyes on the house. Oakley House is only 2 miles from Stroud, based in the picturesque Cotswolds and boasting one of the best farmers markets in the country. The village of North Woodchester is surrounded by lush green valleys and is famous for its Roman Villa, where it hides the most intricate and impressive Orpheus mosaic, the second largest of its kind in Europe. Just 2 minutes up the hill from Oakley House is Selsley Common, where you can see the most breath-taking sunsets with far-reaching views over the River Severn to Wales.
On the doorstep of Oakley House are the award-winning vineyards of Woodchester Valley Vineyard and the incredible Woodchester Mansion, a gothic revival mansion house surrounded by lakes that tempt many wild swimmers to take a dip.
As soon as you step out of the door, you join one of the many footpaths that take you on stunning country walks, as well as easy access to the Cotswold Way.
There are endless wonderful country pubs to eat and drink in within walking distance or a short drive from the house. As well as many trendy pop-ups and breweries to choose from.

If you are happy and would like to go ahead with a booking, then we will send you the necessary forms etc and take a small booking deposit which contributes towards the overall cost of your booking.

Upon booking we require an initial deposit to secure the dates booked which contributes towards the overall amount you pay for the house. We also require a cautionary deposit, to be paid 1 month before the booking. The cautionary deposit is fully refundable to you within 7 working days after your booking and is only required for any accidental damage that may occur during your booking.

Nobody likes big detailed information to read, so we've kept ours as simple as possible. Terms and Conditions are freely available, just drop us a line

We can supply you with a full list of local food deliveries and catering options, but we recommend that you arrange your requirements directly with the companies yourself

We can supply you with an extensive contact list of local set-stylists, photographers, vintage emporiums, florists etc. We can arrange initial introductions for you with many of these local people/services but suggest you confirm your needs with them directly.

Please send your cancellation in writing to info@oakleyhouse.co.uk and please review our terms and conditions form. You will receive a full refund on your booking if cancellation is received in writing within 12 weeks of the booking date.
